Pistol recovered from drain near SIB office in city

Shillong, Nov 1: A pistol with ammunition was recovered from a drain near the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SBI) office, Laban on Friday.

According to an official source, the •32 country-made pistol was first noticed by a food delivery person who alerted the guard at the SIB.

Later, the police seized the weapon and investigation was on to know how the pistol landed on the drain.

Police are also examining available CCTV footages from adjacent areas.
