The multi-department team systematically cut down the illegally grown cannabis plants from the entire 5-hectare area. Following the operation, the seized ganja was destroyed at the site itself through controlled burning, ensuring complete elimination of the contraband as per established protocols.

“The successful execution of this multi-departmental operation demonstrates a zero-tolerance approach toward drug-related crimes and a commitment to protecting our society from the menace of narcotic substances. It may also be noted that cultivation of cannabis is an offence and will attract relevant sections of the NDPS Act”, the police chief added.
