Shillong, Nov 19: Police have recorded the statement of the driver of the escort vehicle accompanying Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh during Cherry Blossom Festival on November 15.
A biker died and and a lady pillion rider was injured following the incident.

According to the police, the statement of the driver was recorded together with three other constables .
Police added that the chargesheet will be submitted soon.
Paul Lyngdoh had earlier said that as the convoy was going slow, the escort vehicle may not be involved in the accident hinting at the fault of the biker.
