Shillong, June 7: Police rescued a city girl from Bihar.
According to a statement issued by the police, Sonali Kumari (17), who had gone missing since December 21, 2022, was rescued from Bidupur village, Vaishali district, in Bihar on June 6.
Police said father of Sonali, Ram Sogarath Singh, a resident of DPI compound, Crinoline Swimming Pool Road, here had registered an FIR at Laban PS after her daughter went missing from the residence.
“Continuous efforts were made to trace the missing girl, and on acquiring some clues on the matter, a police team from East Khasi Hills district led by Inspector KP Singh OC in-charge Laitumkhrah PS proceeded to Bihar in search of the missing girl and found Sonali Kumari from Bidupur Village in Bihar,” the police added.
