Shillong,June 7: Education Minister Rakkam Sangma said the government will redraft the state education policy in line with the national education policy.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Rakkam said the redrafting of education policy was necessitated following the national education policy.
“Though the state welcomes the national education policy, the problems the state will be facing while implementing it, will be taken up with the Centre, he said.

Advisor to education department, HM Shangpliang said that the government will come up with a customised education policy which is favourable, friendly and possible to be executed.
“We will focus more on vocational and skill-oriented curriculum from Class 8 to 12 so that this can prevent drop-out rate”, he said.
