Shillong, June 6: A police vehicle was torched in front of Kench’s Trace police beat house around 3 am on June 6.
East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said the Kench’s Trace Best House police vehicle, an old model Thar was torched around 3am. It was immediately doused off by the men in the Beat House.

The hood and the seats were damaged. The FSL team came to assist the police in the investigation. A case was registered to investigate and arrest the culprits.
When asked, the SP said most probably, the arson was caused by pouring inflammable substance like petrol and lighting it.
