Shillong, Aug 16: Block Mission Coordinator SSA, Selsella Block Resource Centre, West Garo Hills will conduct a spot inquiry regarding the complaint related to the constitution of School Managing Committee of Gasbari Non-Govt. LP School.
The complaint was filed to the Director of school Education and Literacy (DSEL), Shillong by the Gaonbura, VEC functionaries, NGO members,VDP secretary of village Gasbari against the CRC (Cluster Resource Person) Almas Hoque, Gasbari CRC and Shohidur Rahman (Head Teacher of Gasbari Non -Govt. LP school) under Dadenggre Sub-Division, West Garo Hills, for illegally constituting the School Managing Committee(SMC) of Gasbari Non-Govt. LP School since 2019 without following the norms laid down in the RTE Act, 2009/NCTE norms/guidelines and other relevant notifications of the concerned department. The headman and the villagers complained that there were no meetings conducted in the school from 2019 for constituting the SMC and so far the SMC is formed by the closed door meetings of the CRC and head teacher and it is a gross violation of the government norms and thereby selecting the members who are not even parents-guardians of the students and from 2019 no meeting was held for the formation of SMC of Gasbari Non-Government LP School.
