PT Sawkmie to join UDP in November or December
Shillong, May 16: Suspended Congress legislator, PT Sawkmie said he will join the UDP either in November or December.
He said on Monday that the issue of anti-defection does not arise in announcing the move to join the UDP from the Congress as he is already a suspended legislator.

Sources said besides Sawkmie, three more sitting legislators may join the UDP.
They are independent MLA Lambor Malngiang (Nongkrem), cabinet minister and HSPDP leader Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar (Mawkyrwat) and suspended Congress member Mayralborn Syiem.(Nongpoh)
NPP hopeful of getting 10 MLAs
NPP leader and cabinet minister Sniawbhalang Dhar told reporters that more than 10 MLAs will be joining the party ahead of 2023 Assembly polls.
They are from the Congress, AITC, HSPDP and PDF, he said.
