Rain soaks state; damages reported

Shillong, May 13: The incessant rainfall and landslide since Thursday night soaked the state and damaged buildings.

Officials said that there were reports of damages and they are being collected.

The early morning update of IMD said that latest satellite image ( in picture) indicates thunderstorm/lightning and light to moderate rainfall is very likely to continue over most places in the state for next 3-4 hours with intermittent intense spells of rain in Garo Hills.

Latest satellite image indicates thunderstorm/lightning and light to moderate rainfall is very likely to continue over most places in the state for next 3-4 hours with intermittent intense spells of rain in West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills and Ribhoi distircts.
