Shillong,Oct 2 : Meghalaya governor Satya Pal Malik joined the officers and staff in celebrating Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday at Raj Bhavan.
He offered floral tributes to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of the nation.

Addressing the officers and the staff, he recalled the sacrifice of Gandhi in the nation’s struggle for freedom and lessening the pain of partition.
He distributed blankets to the staff of Raj Bhavan to mark the occasion.
He also appealed for a bigger celebration to mark the birth anniversary of Gandhi as the nation celebrates 75 years of Independence with Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav.
