Shillong, April 13: Prof Rakesh Sinha MP Rajya Sabha distributed 400 honey bee boxes and kits among the villagers of Kongthong on Wednesday. Sinha adopted the village in 2019 Recently, PM Narendra Modi had mentioned about the village due to its unique tradition of calling people by tunes.
Sinha reviewed the developmental works in the presence of local officials and addressed the gram sabha in which 9 headmen of other villages were also present . He met Chief Minister Conard Sangma and discussed about village development in Meghalya
