Shillong, June 12: The state child rights commission has entrusted the district child protection officer to follow up on the alleged rape of four minors in South West Khasi Hills on Friday last by a group of persons.
Khasi Hills Zone unit of the Garo Students’ Union and the South West Khasi Hills unit of AHAM had brought out the matter and an FIR was lodged on Sunday.

South West Khasi Hills SP G Kharwanlang said on Wednesday that out of the four minors, after medical examination, only one was found to be raped but investigation was still on.
According to SP, there was no kidnapping angle as the accused and the victims were part of a picnic group.
Police are yet to make any arrests.
