Shillong, Aug 23: The brother of lawyer Kynjaimon Amse who was killed in an accident on Friday, may file a case suspecting foul play.
The lawyer and social activist died while three others were injured in a car crash at Dkhiah near petrol pump, East Jaintia Hills, police said.
Amse, a resident of Umkiang village was declared brought dead at Civil Hospital Khliehriat.
Last week, he had filed a complaint opposing the JHADC’s decision to issue a No Objection Certificate to Meghatop Cement Private Limited in Wahiajer village, Narpuh for setting up its plant without the consent of the Dorbar Elaka Narpuh.
Amse has filed many PILs in the High Court and notable among them was for the construction of Borkhat – Sonapur road along the Indo-Bangla border.
Based on a related PIL, the court had issued directions for repairing of the National Highway – 6 especially from Ratacherra to Lumshnong as well as the Jowai bypass.
