Shillong, Oct 22: Final Day in the North East India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship witnessed strong composure from the overall leader, Rishika Muralidhar who shot a 6 over 76 on the final day to win the 2021 North East India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship.
Rishika had an overall score of 16 over for 3 days of the tournament. Finishing in the Runners up position was Smriti Bhargava from Delhi who was consistent in all three rounds shooting 6 over respectively on all three days and finishing with a total score of 18 over for 3 days of the championship.
In category B-Girls, Ms Saanvi Somu from Karnataka showed her grit by shooting 8 over respectively on all three days and winning the Category B-Girls Championship with an overall score of 24 over for 3 days of the event.
Indian Golf Union (IGU) is the National Sports Federation for Golf in India and the Governing body for the game in the Country. One of the main objectives of the IGU is the promotion and development of the game at the grassroots and grow the presence of Indian Golf in the world arena.
