Some of the important projects completed under RITES are the ropeway across the Brahmaputra, resurfacing of runway in North Lakhimpur in Assam, resurfacing of civil airport in Aizawl, and resurfacing and development of runway at civil airport in Imphal, among others.

RITES aims to provide high-quality consultancy services to stakeholders involved in infrastructure development in the region. Hence, it is setting up its first office in the northeastern region in Guwahati that will be spread across 5,500 sqft and will be located centrally opposite the Secretariat building.

Among its ongoing projects are a couple of projects in Meghalaya too.

“There’s a lot of potential for infrastructure projects in Assam and North-East. The office is being built to explore and enhance consultancy. Government impetus has been given. Proximity is a good factor for business,” said a press statement from RITES.
