Shillong, June 28: The re-designed main entrance driveway of Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital was inaugurated and dedicated on Tuesday.

Former chief minister DD Lapang, his wife Amethyst Lynda Blah, who sponsored the road, deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong and Mawhati MDC Charles Marngar among others were present.
Earlier on June 21, an oxygen generator plant opened at the hospital and the next day, Margaret Buckley Memorial Hall was renovated recollecting the contribution of Margaret who was the first matron of the hospital.
Tynsong praised the service of the hospital and said, ‘from the government side we will help you in every way and the road from Untyrnga to Nongsawlia will be named as Thomas Jones road’.
