Shillong, Nov 28:The independent legislator, Samuel Sangma from Baghmara, who submitted a letter to the Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh on Monday evening on withdrawing his associate membership from the UDP, said he will join the BJP soon.
“I have not resigned as MLA, the letter submitted to the Speaker is only regarding coming out of the UDP as I was only its associate member but I will join the BJP shortly”, he said.

Samuel was accompanied by BJP MLA AL Hek to meet the Speaker.
