Shillong, Aug 24: Cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai has given public utility chairs and tables to various organisations of his South Shillong constituency under SUWP scheme 2020-21.
The benefits were for those who rendered voluntary services to assist the Covid-19 vaccination drive in their respective localities.
The initiative was aimed at appreciating organisations on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Addressing the meeting held on August 22, Shullai said only peace and harmony will bring development in the state.
The BJP leader also assured that he would continue to assist various organisations who are voluntarily providing social service within the constituency.
The beneficiaries are to assist the district administration during the pandemic and make sure the constituency achieves 100% vaccination.
