Sawkmie wants CM to speak to counterpart on disturbance in border area

Shillong, Aug 30: Former MLA and vice president of UDP said the Chief Minister Conrad sangma should speak to his Assam counterpart regarding the inconvenience and the disturbance created by the residents of Karbi Anglong against Pnar villagers.
“The Government of Assam should have taken a serious note about the people who disturb the peace talks on border issue with Meghalaya, we want the people of Meghalaya and Assam living in the border to stay peacefully.

According to Sawkmie, the government should make sure that there should not be further instigation by the Karbi residents.
There were reports of disturbance in Lapangap village bordering both Assam and Meghalaya.
