Senior BJP leader Indrasena Reddy to be 20th Governor of Tripura

Agartala, Oct 19 (UNI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha congratulated senior BJP leader Indrasena Reddy Nallu for his appointment as the new governor of the state.

Reddy’s appointment was issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan in a communique on Wednesday night. He will be the 20th Governor of Tripura. He will be replacing incumbent Governor Satyadeo Narian Arya, who is going to retire.

According to Raj Bhavan sources, Reddy has not yet decided on when to take charge and has been informed that he will be arriving in the state shortly.

Seventy-four-year-old Reddy, belonging to Telangana, was presently the National Secretary of the BJP.

Reddy was elected as MLA thrice—the first time in 1983 at the age of 33. In 1985, he won from Malakpet in Hyderabad and was re-elected in 1999.
