Shillong,Dec 4: Sitting in Delhi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday announced ban on beef in hotels and public places in Assam.

Curiously, he addressed the journalists in Hindi in New Delhi to announce the decision which will have also repercussions in restaurants and public places on Assam-Meghalaya border.
