Shillong, June 9: Six sitting legislators from other political parties will join the United Democratic Party (UDP) to contest the 2023 Assembly elections.
UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh informed this after chairing the meeting of the party’s central executive committee (CEC), which unanimously constituted the state election committee (SEC) for finalising the candidates for the upcoming polls in the state.

“As of now, it is confirmed that 6 sitting MLAs from other political parties will be joining our party,” Lyngdoh, said.
