The state is challenging the orders of the  High Court of Meghalaya delivered on June 27 and the trial court on April 27, highlighting that the reason for the arrest of Sonam was not made known to her.

However, the stand of the state government is that the grounds of arrest were made known to her in various stages.

The courts here had also pointed out errors while mentioning sections of arrests in various documents.
