Sonowal wants BJP govt in Meghalaya to end corruption & nepotism

Shillong, Feb 16: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday criticised  the twin evils of nepotism and corruption as he called upon people to vote for BJP whose only agenda is peace & progress of Meghalaya.

The senior leader of the BJP was addressing poll rallies at Tikrikilla and Jonglapara.

The rallies witnessed public participation as the senior BJP leader campaigned for Rahinath Barchung contesting from the Tikrikilla, Benedict Marak contesting from Raksamgre, Sukharam K. Sangma from Resubelpara and Sengnab Ch. Momin from Mendipathar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said, “People of Meghalaya were ripped off development and progress by the twin evils of nepotism and rampant corruption.People deserve better as India under the Modi government is working diligently to become an Atmanirbhar Bharat in this Amrit Kaal. Meghalaya, with its rich natural beauty and resources, and diverse talent pool, is poised to unlock a tremendous opportunity to progress and develop”.
