When asked it has been 25 years since his debut for the Indian team, the former captain was quoted saying, “The year is really significant. But it has nothing to do with birthdays. Birthday is birthday. The game is the game. It has been 25 years since my debut for the Indian team. Lord is a part of that tour. Even then more such parts came. Many opportunities have come. Each event has a different relevance. These are not just another incident. My whole career has a different relevance.”
