Shillong, March 8: The Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh has disallowed a discussion in the Assembly on the death of former HNLC leader Cherishstarfield Thangkhiew, on Monday.
Though the matter was listed as zero hour notice tabled by Congress legislator PT Sawkmie, the Speaker disallowed raising it by saying that the matter is under judicial probe and hence sub judice.

Later, speaking to this reporter, Sawkmie said his intention was to ensure that there should be a free and fair probe into the matter.
