Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture holds immunisation initiative

Shillong, Aug 27: An immunisation programme was held recently at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture, Shillong (SAIICS) in collaboration with health experts of Ganesh Das Hospital,

The Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) programme aims to vaccinate pregnant women and children left out during routine immunisation activities.

Sri Aurobindo Institute will be conducting the programme every month jointly with Ganesh Hospital.

“We want to ensure that no child should suffer due to vaccine preventive disease“, said Farida Khan, Principal Mother’s School, SAIICS

The healthcare workers of Ganesh Das hospital are making efforts  to trace expecting mothers and children who have not received immunisation yet, she said.

Karate tournament 

All Meghalaya Karate Do Association, Shillong  organised inter-school Karate tournament at the Sports Authority of India, NEHU Complex from August 17 to 19.

Among schools with 500 plus participants. Koroulemba Khwairakpam represented from Mother’s School Shillong.

“Proud moment for Mother’s School.. It is not about winning but about participating even if he did not win. It is about his experience and growth as child growing up and learning every step of life to excel”,  said the principal.
