Shillong, June 12: The number of Covid deaths and the day’s caseload remained high on Saturday with East Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills leading with over 100 new positive cases.
The state recorded 13 deaths, 10 of which were from East Khasi Hills and one each from West Khasi Hills, South West Garo Hills and West Garo Hills. The death toll so far is 727.

The number of cases on Saturday stood at 501, with East Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills recording 158 and 102 cases, respectively. Covid-19 cases in Jaintia Hills are also on the rise with East and West recording 15 ad 60, respectively.
The day’s recoveries were at 610. With this, the active cases in the state are at 4,871.
