State records 5 deaths; day’s caseload at 438

Shillong, June 7: There were five deaths and over 400 new Covid-19 cases in the state on Monday.

East and West Khasi Hills districts recorded two deaths each. One person died in Ri Bhoi.


The daily caseload stood at 438, of which 206 were in East Khasi Hills, the highest in the state. It was followed by West Jaintia Hills at 115 and Ri Bhoi at 60.

The number of recoveries on Monday was 689.
