Shillong, Feb 27: The state registered 75% voter turnout till 5 pm on Monday.
Briefing reporters, the Chief Electoral Officer, FR Kharkongor said that since voting in Garo Hills and Jaintia Hills have not been completed, the percentage will go up.

The voter turnout in 2018 was 86.9%.
Kharkongor said the nature of urban voter apathy will be assessed after the final data.
