Shillong,July 15: The talks between the state government and All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers’ Association failed on Friday as the government promised salary only for two months.
The teachers’ body along with Meghalaya SSA Teachers Association met the officials of the education department.

The teachers wanted the government to release the salary for five months from February till June.
Annoyed over the adamant stand of the government, the association sought the opinion of the teachers who gathered at the additional secretariat parking lot.
The All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers Association has also joined the protesting teachers.
