TMC is creating noise but not impact : Conrad

Shillong, Aug 27: NPP national president  Conrad Sangma has said TMC entered Meghalaya and is trying to create noise but it is not simple that by massive publicity they would make any impact.

He  said this in New Delhi during a press conference after the national committee meeting of the NPP held on Saturday at Constitution of India Club, New Delhi.

Conrad said the TMC captured the space of the Opposition but it has created further fraction within its own party.

The meeting of the NPP chaired by  Conrad was attended by members of the national committee and presidents of different state units to discuss the strategy for the upcoming polls in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.

No pre-poll alliance

When asked by media whether NPP will forge any alliance with BJP, Conrad said that NPP will go for polls alone and will not forge any alliance with BJP or any other political parties.

“We are not going to contest next assembly elections in alliance with anyone, including the BJP”, he said.

The meeting decided to form different committees to further strengthen the party and activities.
