Shillong, Aug 9: In a first tri-force joint patrol conducted at SE Falls on August 8 by 101 Area Provost Unit, Meghalaya Police, and 67 Bn CRPF, a local was apprehended for selling unlicensed country-made liquor on defence land at Umkaliar playground.

Around 100 litres were recovered and destroyed on the spot by the police. Several miscreants were cleared from the area, enhancing safety of both civilians and defence personnel at SE Falls.
A defence statement said that this first tri-force joint operation underscores coordination between the Army, Meghalaya police, and CRPF in maintaining security in Shillong.
