Shillong, July 19: TUR member Angela Rangad started a sit-in demonstration outside the Main Secretariat building in the city on Monday morning when a Cabinet meeting was on.
Rangad said the protest (click for video) was against the state government’s apathy to provide income support to the marginalised section. TUR has been asking the government to come clean on the income support paid so far amid the pandemic.

The organisation has also made lists of names of beneficiaries who received partial or nothing during the pandemic last year.
