Shillong, July 16: Two persons were arrested for drug smuggling in Tura, on Sunday.
According to West Garo Hills police, based on credible source information, one drug peddler named Tobit G. Momin (40) was intercepted at 8th Mile, Upper Damalgre, PS – Araimile, West Garo Hills along with one Savio S. Marak (48) who was coming in a Yamaha bike B/R No. AS-01F-7056 from Garobadha and 14 suspected YABA tablets and Rs. 5020 were recovered from his possession. Later on being led by Tobit, 16 Pyeevon Spas Plus capsules and Rs. 23,000 were recovered from his house u/s 27 IE Act. Contrabands, cash and bike have been seized.
