Shillong, Aug 30: The UDP rebels will be taking more time before joining the BJP.
A party MLA said there will be several meetings with the BJP central leaders on the needs of the MLAs before joining the party.
Some talks were held in different locations.
When asked, UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh reiterated that he is not aware of the move, if any, of his MLAs.
“Three to four MLAs mut have gone to Delhi for personal matter and not for anything else”, he added.
BJP MLA AL Hek said there has been no communication from the party leadership regarding the development.
When contacted, the state BJP president Rikman Momin said it is too early to comment on the matter
“We need many leaders to join the BJP but it is too early to know the outcome regarding the UDP MLAs”, Momin added.
