Shillong, Oct 20: Sur Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep ( Voice of Hynniewtrep People) has written to Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Wednesday, seeking justice for the killing of former general secretary of HNLC Cherishstarfield Thangkhiew on August 13.
While justifying the demand to take action against erring police personnel,the organisation said it would continue its protests against senseless killing of any citizen without giving them a chance to seek legal assistance.

It also wanted to know the status of the inquiry regarding the incident both by the MHRC and the judicial inquiry commission.
The organisation said only a fair inquiry will bring justice to the family of Thangkhiew.
