Shillong, June 25: The lone VPP member in Lok Sabha, Ricky AJ Syngkon will abstain from voting for Lok Sabha Speaker’s post on Wednesday as he does not support the candidates of both NDA and India Bloc in the absence of consensus.
When asked the stand of the Shillong MP, VPP president Ardent Basaiawmoit said on Tuesday, “He will neither support NDA nor India Bloc, we wish the two would have reached a consensus on the Speaker’s post”.

To a query, Ardent said the MP will abstain from voting.
