With Rs 332 cr, Khandu richest among NE chief ministers
Neiphiu Rio second with Rs 46.95 cr followed by Himanta with Rs 17.27 cr & Conrad with Rs 14.06 cr: ADR analysis

Shillong, Aug 22: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu is second among the state heads in the country with the highest assets and the richest in the North East.
Of the top 3 chief ministers with the highest assets, Khandu is the second with over Rs 332 crore, according to an analysis by the Association for Democratic Reports (ADR) of the current chief ministers in state assemblies.
Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh and Siddaramaiah of Karnataka are in the first and third positions with over Rs 930 crore and Rs 50 crore, respectively.
Among the northeastern states, Neiphiu Rio of Nagaland has the second-highest assets with Rs 46.95 crore. He is followed by Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam) Rs 17.27 crore, Conrad Sangma (Meghalaya) Rs 14.06 crore, Manik Saha (Tripura) Rs 13.9 crore, Prem Singh Tamang (Sikkim) Rs 6.69 crore and Lalduhoma (Mizoram) Rs 4.13 crore. Manipur is under President’s Rule.
Among the chief ministers with the lowest assets are Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal) with over Rs 15 lakh, Omar Abdullah (Jammu & Kashmir) with over RS 55 lakh and Pinarayi Vijayan (Kerala) with over Rs 1 crore.
The analysis also shows that 40% of the chief ministers analysed have declared criminal cases against them.
