Shillong, July 9: This year’s Behdienkhlam festival witnessed varied motifs in raths ranging from FIFA world cup football to social issues.
The raths carried to the sacred pool( Aitnar) depicted the on-going world cup football, addiction to social media and liquor, and the need to maintain physical and mental well being.

The organisers said that the 13 raths displayed variety of themes to drive home the point that spiritual and physical fitness of people go hand in hand.
After the event at the pool, the traditional football contest using a wooden ball, followed.
The four-day festival attracted devotees from all parts of the state
