Shillong, March 7: The troops of 193 Bn BSF under Meghalaya frontier, in a joint operation with Meghalaya police, apprehended a person carrying 982 Yaba tablets.
In a statement issued on a Monday, the BSF said the consignment was confiscated while the apprehended person along with one accomplice came to the bordering area of South West Khasi Hills with a purpose to smuggle the tablets to Bangladesh.

On observing their suspicious movement, the BSF said it took prompt action and picked up one of them while the other managed to escape.
The accused and the seized tablets were handed over to the police outpost–Borsora, South West Khasi Hills district.
