Shillong, Feb 6: Three persons were killed and 20 others injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a paddy field on Sunday afternoon in South West Garo Hills.
According to police, the driver of the open pick-up truck lost control of the vehicle resulting in the accident near Jelbongpara under Betasing.

The injured were taken to Tura Civil Hospital.
The truck was on its way to a clan meeting at Wadagre after a relative of the occupants from Angalgre lost a house in a fire incident
35-year-old woman identified as Natje Sangma and 3-year-old child died on the spot.
Another injured person Prodison Marak (50) died at Tura Civil Hospital.
