Ruling MDA coalition bags all three seats

NPP gets 2 , UDP 1, Cong draws blank

Shillong, Nov 2: The ruling MDA coalition bagged all the three seats in the bypolls, beating anti-incumbency.

While NPP managed to get two seats- Rajabala ( Abdus Saleh) and Mawryngkneng( Pyniaid Syiem ) which were earlier held by the Congress, UDP secured  Mawphlang ( Eugeneson Lyngdoh) which was earlier represented by his father SK Sunn who was the associate member of UDP.

Speaking to reporters, Deputy Chief Minister and NPP leader Prestone Tynsong (in picture) reiterated that the Congress is a sinking ship.
