Shillong, Feb 7: The state government has taken up 25 projects worth over Rs 500 crore under Smart city initiative.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told reporters on Monday that the progress of various projects under the Shillong Smart City Project was reviewed.

“The purpose was to see the current status of the work that is going on and I am happy to see the progress,” he said.
According to him, after 25 projects, another 15 to 20 more projects worth Rs 250 crore will be taken up in the next few days
“The work is going on as planned and some of the projects will be completed and inaugurated within the next financial year”, he added.
