MHA awaits Survey of India report before border pact
Shillong,Feb 14: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sought reports from Survey of India and other related departments before finalising the border pact between Assam and Meghalaya.
“I am presuming that the MHA is waiting for those reports to come in and I am sure that in a very short time, very few days, the MHA will call us ,” Sangma told reporters on Monday.

Assam and Meghalaya have already submitted a joint report and statement to MHA.
The chief minister will leave for Delhi on Tuesday to take up the issue of peace talks with HNLC.
Sangma said the Union Home Minister had called both the chief ministers last week but due to his busy schedule, the proposed meeting had to be postponed.
