Shillong, April 20: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge power Prestone Tynsong on Wednesday announced scrapping of Kynshi stage-I (270 MW) entrusted to Athena Power Private Limited and Kynshi stage-II (325 MW) to JayPee Group.
He said the government scrapped the projects since the private power developers expressed their inability to execute them.

The memorandum of agreement was signed for the projects in 2007.
