BSF-BGB meeting underway in Sylhet

Shillong, May 31: IG BSF and Region Commanders BGB level border coordination conference began from May 30 to continue till June 2 sat Sylhet, Bangladesh. Indian Delegation is led by Sumit Sharan, Inspector General BSF Tripura, who crossed over to Bangladesh through ICP Dawki, West Jaintia Hills, on May 30 where they were welcomed by Border Guard Bangladesh.
During the conference issues of common concern pertaining to trans- border crimes, smugglings from International Border are being deliberated upon. Bottlenecks in the progress of infrastructure and developmental works on both sides of the border are also being resolved through discussions. The Issues related to insurgency on either side of border will also be talked.
The last such border coordination conference was held at Shillong, in November 2021.
