Shillong, Aug 16: The body of a missing person was recovered from a drain at Boucher Road in the city on August 14.
According to the police , Rishad Sing Kharmuttee of Mawdiangdiang went missing on August 11 and he was last seen at Tynring Bus Stand, Iewduh.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for identification and for conducting PM examination. On the same evening, the body was identified by the family members to be that of the missing person.
On Tuesday, inquest and post mortem examination was conducted at Shillong Civil Hospital,
As per PM examination, there was no external or internal injuries on the body adding that no eye was gouged out as reported by some media outlets.
An unnatural death case was registered at Shillong Sadar Police Station.
