Shillong, Jan 25: Superintendent of Police, City Vivek Syiem and two others from Meghalaya police were awarded Medal for Meritorious Service by the Centre.
Others are John M Sangma, armed branch inspector and Teibor Sumer, Havildar.

A lady officer from Home Guard and Civil Defence Aniosca Basaiawmoit, senior instructor, is also in the list of awardees for meritorious service.
The announcement was made on Thursday on the eve of Republic Day.
