Shillong, Jan 28: The AICC screening committee meeting chaired by Rana KP Singh in Guwahati on Monday cleared the names of MLA Saleng Sangma (Tura) and MP Vincent Pala (Shillong) as candidates for Lok Sabha polls.
Pala said there were only single applications for both Shillong and Tura.

The AICC screening committee will forward the names to the central election committee for the final approval, he added.
Besides Saleng and Pala, CLP leader Ronnie Lyngdoh and Congress state general secretary Sanjay Das also attended the meeting.
